Introduction

Dynamite Cop is Sega's unofficial sequel to Die Hard Arcade, and takes us back to the classic beat-'em-up days of games such as Final Fight. The storyline has you donning the gear of a special weapons member on a mission to rescue the president's daughter off a hijacked cruise ship. The basic premise is to punch, kick and combo enemies into oblivion. and then to move onto the next area.

Graphics

While the gameplay can be fun, Dynamite Cop looks dated. The arcade version was based on one of the last Model 2 boards. On a system where Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter 3tb and Power Stone are found, Dynamite Cop's model 2 background betrays itself. Even though Sega attempted to upgrade the textures, the characters and their environments are quite chunky at times. The FMV sequences are nice but feel rushed as the whole game does.

Audio

The same as the arcade version. Not the greatest of voice actors for the FMV sequences. Sound effects are quite good and very loud. This is one game people in the room will ask you to turn down the volume due to all of the explosions going off almost every moment.
