Introduction

With the release of Hot Shots Golf on Playstation receiving good reviews and a warm reception from the gaming public it was only a matter of time before the other consoles and third party developers would jump on the "clone" bandwagon. Some attempts have succeeded (Mario Golf 64), others have failed (CyberTiger). So how does Tee Off Golf fair on the green?. Its a few strokes over par and definitely not a hole in one.

Graphics

While most golf games aren't graphical powerhouses players at least expect to see a decent representation of good old mother nature. Unfortunately Tee Off's fairways are pretty barren with few graphical details. The golfers (there are 15 in total)are also pretty bland with very little animation and unenthusiastic voices. Super deformed characters normally have an odd charisma, you'll find none here. The game fails to utilize the Dreamcast's superior capabilities.

Audio

Sound is a mixed bag. Balls striking off clubs, Balls whizzing through the air and the clink of a hole in one are all crisp and clear. Music in the game however is a jarring blend of Japanese rock and 70's riffs. It gets repetitive quickly and as a result annoying.
