I have played many basketball games dating back to the old NES days, but nothing really satisfied me. I took reviews on games like NBA Live, but it never kept me playing! If you know a lot about basketball, you will find the realism in these games obsolete!!! So what about NBA Action 98?

Graphics: The games graphics are very good and detailed! The game moves at about 30fps and the animations are incredible! They are the best I have ever seen. So why the 8.5 rating? Well, though great detail, the game runs at a low resolution meaning the graphics are somewhat pixely!

Sound: The sound is okay (Much better then the Playstations version of this game NBA Fastbreak) The announcer calls the game very well and also keeps up with the pace though he repeats a lot on what he says. The crowed could be much better on reating with the game.( like the 1st NBA Action) The music is very good and gets you pumped to play!!

Realism: The realism of this game is outstanding and the best I have ever seen in a basketball game!! This is the only game where you have to call plays in order to win. Players on defence will put their arms up in the paint and try to get an offensive foul called. The computer plays very well and is intelligent.( Unlike NBA Live 98) Any fan who knows the sport will worship this game!
